Book One in the More Than DC series by T.J. Tims
Genevieve Westley lives inside of her head. Her only connection to life; her two best friends, her grandparents, and her heart wrenching emotionally driven artwork.
Finally stepping out of her comfort zone, a night out with her friends has her stepping into the arms of Lucas Alexander.
Lucas has been labeled many things; rock star, CEO, devastatingly handsome panty dropper.
When these two collide their electric chemistry has them racing towards their happily ever after, but is that enough?
Secret after secret bombards them, turning Gen’s peaceful existence to chaos and confusion. With more questions than answers will she give it all up or fight, even if it’s more than she asked for?
More Than I Asked For is a pretty good read that had it's ups and downs initially. However, I found the characters likeable and there are some pretty funny moments in the book. Genevieve has just broken up with her boyfriend. She has a great set of friends, Hailey and Tara who take her out so she can try to forget her current situation. Genevieve ends up waking up the next morning with a massive hangover and flowers from a man. She has no memory of the night before. The guy ends up being former rocker Lucas Alexander. There was some insta love/like going on, but as the story developed, I did feel their passion and loved Lucas. There are many characters in this story, along with an ever developing storyline for Genevieve and her past. The different personalities intermingling made it an entertaining read with not too much craziness.
