-LUCY-
There is a love so fierce it cannot be measured.
A heart so strong it will never slow.
There is a promise so sure it can never lie.
He promised me that love forever.
Even when it wasn't enough.
-CAMERON-
Forever. Everlasting. Eternal.
There is no measure of time.
No sounds of the ticking of a clock.
Just the rising and falling of the sun.
And our own sense of forever.

"Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage."
I liked it
I loved it
I devoured it
I adored it
More than Forever was AH-MAZING.
I've been ready and excited for Cam & Lucy's story since More Than This and I really wasn't sure what to expect. I didn't know if I would connect with Lucy. We all remember "drunk" Lucy from the prior reads, but MTF shows us so much more of Lucy as a person.
Cam and Lucy are "that" couple in high school that we all know. The cute high school sweethearts. But what we don't know is that Lucy is sad, heartbroken and has to be strong, while also carrying a lot of weight on her shoulders.
Cam and Lucy are "that" couple in high school that we all know. The cute high school sweethearts. But what we don't know is that Lucy is sad, heartbroken and has to be strong, while also carrying a lot of weight on her shoulders.
"If heartbreak had a sound, it would be her sob."
Cam is Lucy's hero, her rock and pretty much her savior. He not only sees her, but also sees her pain. He's there as such a great support system, not just for Lucy but also for her brothers.
"I feel like I've loved you for eternity, and it's not even close to long enough."
Some say they were brought together by fate and maybe they were. Jay McClean showcases this story of young love delivered in such a way that takes you back to your adolescence, it entertains you and gives you so much more. The friendships, experiences, relationships and not to forget the parents who I loved in this story. It's emotional and heartbreaking at times, but so so good!
Cam and Lucy experience everything together. All of the "firsts", the many ups, but also the downs and heartbreaks. Their love is fierce, addicting and just wows you even at such a young age. I found myself reading like a mad woman and feeling all the warm and tingly feelings about their story. Then the next moment I'm laughing so hard that it brings me to tears.
"Sometimes I think that this - you and me - this could be as good as it gets for the rest of my life and that would be perfect."
Jay McClean's writing continues to be simple yet with such feelings and emotions. She takes you deeper, will make you cry and feel uncomfortable. But in the end Jay McClean writes an incredible timeless story that can be read many times. It's no secret, I'm officially TEAM JAY! She writes it, I'll read it...period!
"He made my impossible, possible. And he had absolutely no idea he was doing it."
TEASER
Getting out of my hold, she walks back to the bus. She
sticks her head inside and looks around before turning to me. "The day you
get your license…" She takes two steps
to cover the distance between us. "You pick me up and take me somewhere
secluded, and we make out in the back. For
hours."
My eyes go huge and I slowly nod. "That can be
arranged."
She smiles. "And I'm talking full on making out,
Cameron. I mean, I want you shirtless and horizontal." I try not to look
down at my shorts; positive I'm sporting a semi. She continues, "And I want to be shirtless and you better
be touching boob."
I choke on air.
She giggles, and then crosses her arms over her breasts.
"Deal?"
I think I agree, but I can't be sure, because now all I
can think about is boob. I place my hands on her waist and gently push her
until she's against the bus.
And then I kiss her.
Her hands go to my hair, tugging a little, and bringing
me closer to her.
And
we kiss.
When she finally loosens her hold, I pull back.
She kisses me once, and then sighs. "You really
bought this bus, huh?"
I nod.
"So that you can help me out with my
brothers?"
I nod again. "Of course, Luce, you're my girl. It's
my job to take care of you."
Her eyes glaze over with tears again.
I wanted to kick myself for making her cry. But before I
can say anything, she wraps her arm around my neck and brings me down for
another quick kiss. She pulls away and says, "I really like you, Cameron."
I grin. "Yeah?"
"Yeah," she says dreamily.
And then my heart begins to race.
My palms begin to sweat.
And all I can hear is the blood pumping in my ears.
"Good," I respond, and then inhale a huge
breath. "Because I'm kind of in love with you, Lucy."
Her eyes bug out. Her jaw drops to the floor. "What?"
she breathes out.
I lift my chin and fake a confidence that doesn't exist.
"You heard me."
Silence.
It's the longest three seconds of my life.
Then finally, "Cameron, I love you so much."
And then she kisses me.
Five weeks, three days and eight hours later, I
touch boob.

More Than This, #1
*Mikayla*
In one night my fairytale ended. Or it may have begun. This is my story of friendship and love, heartbreak and desire, and the strength to show weakness.
*Jake*
One night I met a girl. A sad and broken girl, but one more beautiful than any other. She laughed through her sadness, while I loved through her heartbreak.
*This is our story of a maybe ever after.*
He was right. It made no difference whether it was 6 months or 6 years.
I couldn’t undo what had been done. I couldn’t change the future.
I couldn’t even predict it.
It was one night.
One night when everything changed.
It was so much more than just the betrayal.
It was the Tragedy.
The Deaths.
The Murders.
But it was also that feeling.
The feeling of falling.

More Than Her, #2
For every action there is an equal or opposite reaction." For every choice you make there are rewards, or there are consequences. It was my choice to walk away the first time. And my choice to chase her the second. But sometimes you don't get a choice, and all you get are the consequences.” "Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage.” Unless that someone is Logan Matthews. Because loving him didn't give me the strength to walk away. It didn't give me the courage to fight for him. And when it was over, all it gave me was a broken heart.

More Than Him, #3
"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us." - Marianne Williamson
We live in a world of darkness and shadows,
where monsters hide and aim to ruin.
And they did.
They ruined us and turned our dreams into nightmares.
But now we're back.
And we're fighting.
Not just for us, or for each other, but for our light.

And they did.
They ruined us and turned our dreams into nightmares.
But now we're back.
And we're fighting.
Not just for us, or for each other, but for our light.
